San Jose: Police release security video of burglar who swiped bike, tools

SAN JOSE — Burglary detectives hope that releasing surveillance video will generate tips and help them catch a man who swiped a mountain bike and over $10,000 worth of contractor-quality tools from a North San Jose backyard in June.

The burglary was reported about 4 a.m. June 7 at a home on Danby Avenue, in a neighborhood off Piedmont and Sierra roads, according to San Jose police.

The intruder was described as a man about 35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds, wearing a zip-up hoodie and baseball cap.
